A pause

There are always several moments when I have taken a pause for some sort of half assed self assessment, though usually it comes at the end of a streak of days where I have crawled into a bottle. Here it seems a weird counter balance to that, though that self destructive nature still simmers within. Finally, a breath of fresh air has blown into the stale dungeon air that is Gainesville. Like Edmond Dantes, I too have lingered far too long in a prison I never deserved to be placed (was he also @ his chateau d'if for 27 years?) Hopefully, if all ends as I have been led to believe, I will have interviews in Memphis and suburban DC before the month of may creeps in. Thankfully, both are a great deal away from the people that label themselves my family and closer to more of those whom I label friends. (Sorry Adi will still try to make the occaisonal trip to the Pcola) The trepidation I feel is that this seems too good to be real, as I have to deal with absurdity for far too long (though the good news is I now appear to be an expert on the subject). Further on illusions and reality, for the keen observer, other interests have been brewing in my life, for the keenest it should be obvious who it is. Yes, I will be moving closer to said individual in both instances, but as usual my mind refuses to latch on to reality which contains and happiness for me in this realm. I am often left questioning what is real and what is illusory, for the mind can alter reality on a whim and percieve things that are not there to be concrete facts.

Ted turner is a cybernetic being

The doors are opening.....

The doors are open....

For those of you that are unfamiliar, this is the psychlogic drubbing that one takes when using the tram between concourses at Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta. This is where my second layover happens to be. The dismally grey, chisled faces I encountered in Charlotte seemed to have waned a bit, but there is a fog of melancholy which suggests the angst of the weary traveler. I ran into a slight quandry, as soon as I saw there was a flight to Paris that left around the same time as my flight. There was a good five minutes where i considered the ramifications of this deviation in plans, only finally being waylaid because i had left my passport in Florida. Oh, what could have been. There was a wendy's in my concourse which offered subsistence which i found palatable. Near there was a Sam Adams bar. Again I was tempted. Alas i diverted my escapist and self-destructive natures for the time being. After going all of my life without paying attention to fashion, i have realized i dress better than 90% of the people here simply by not wearing what I slept in. And old women wearing trashy clothing. Disturbing. Well in three some hours I shall be in the wasteland known as new jersey. Toxic avenger pictures to follow

Where is Brian Eno?

Airports are full of angry people.

I look around and there are numerous faces contorted in anguish from the pain inflicted upon them by some invisible chariot rider with his cat o nine tails. And this is not limited to the forlorn government workers who must endure the odor of my shoes. The only smiles seem to found upon the faces of children who must embrace this odyssey with naïvité only youth can offer. Though it is the morning, and who the hell likes mornings anyways?

Another thought struck me mid flight when I saw that coffee was served on the flight. Quality issues aside, this perturbed me. The main component of this worry was that there were no lids on this coffee. Aside from numerous worries we stow away when boarding the plane, the thought of scalding hot liquid being dumped on my person had yet to occur to me. And frankly i didnt like it. Though from a legal standpoint, I see how I could benefit greatly financially from such and encounter if I were to live.

Another note: charlotte is a clusterfuck.

There is no dynamic spaces through which a fluid crowd can easily traverse. This creates numerous people traffic jams where people move at the speeed of molasses at absolute zero. To add to a previous point, with the lackadaisical manner in which people conduct themselves, one would expect them to be happier.
